Hi, dear forum members,

As I have previously done in an e-mail to your site administrator, I want to introduce myself to the forum.

My name is Peter Bartak, living about 90 kilometers south of Vienna, Austria. I am no spring chicken anymore, but as ardent a motorbike freak as can be, having owned over 30 motorbikes and scooters in over fifty years. Presently my "harem" consists of 7 bikes, among them one Rumi Formichino of 1955 (rear part in one piece), about to be put back on the road after having waited for it over 30 years in my shed.
I can't wait to see the curious stares of the public, rubbing their eyes in wonder over such beauty, and to hear the tremendous roar of the two tiny cylinders, outroaring the much bigger 350 ccm of a Jawa or 350 DKW. People will sure wonder how the authorities could ever have legalized such a beautiful tickle of the eardrums. But on the way there I still have to overcome a few obstacles, and there comes a question to the forum: Could anyone of you give me a hint where I could get a replacement fuel tap for the Formichino? (or even sell me one if you have a spare one?)

Any advice will be highly appreciated. But even if no advice is forthcoming in this particular case, let me assure you of my thanks for being able to draw from the huge expertise in Rumi matters as I have found in reading your contributions so far.

I wish everyone a happy scootering season and will keep you up on the progress of my project.

Kind regards and good roar,

Hi Peter,

As I said by private, WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!

It is fantastic to know that after 30 years with the Formichino in your shed, you decided that it is time for it to be on the road again.

Good to know that you have found useful information in the forum already. As I mentioned by private, please pass by the download section and get as many manuals you may need.

Hopefully you will get the fuel tap that you are looking for your scooter.

If you have any doubt during the assembling process please do not hesitate to ask at the technical section of the forum.

Thanks for your detailed introduction to the rest of the members of the forum.
