Hi,

I came across with this Dutch magazine date on November 6th 1953 that featured at the cover this curious photo of a Moto Rumi Scoiattolo.

This has to be on the coast as the people are repairing fishing nets. Looking at the dress it could be in Sardinia or Southern Italy, or even possibly in Greece.

Hi Arthur,

Reading the text at the bottom of the cover page I can confirm that the photo was taken in The Netherlands.

"As a counterweight to the sports and technical photographs of the last weeks, now the venue for Italian Rumi with the nets of fishing women in the Dutch dune field is proving that technology and rustic can be an attractive combination."

Nice detail to see those women wearing the typical Dutch wooden shoes.
