Re: Inherited Barn Find

Thank you. What would you recommend step by step? No point spending money until I know it runs? Would you replace HT leads and fuel lines and see if it fires up? Or could this cause more damage? Also colouring once it's running? Chances are the red and white are not the original? I have looked at t...

Re: Inherited Barn Find

Hi Loobieburt, Your Formichino look pretty complete and original. Looking at the engine and body numbers, I would say it is from 1960 or 1961, however would be good if somebody with more knowledges and information can confirm that detail. I see the legshield and frame of it have been cut. It is not ...

Thank you, I will take some more photos and the information you mention. Is the blue seat likely to be original? The more photos you take from different angles and details, the more we can tell you. About your seat, look at the frame of it and compare with the one at this link, that seem is an orig...

Welcome Loobieburt to Moto Rumi Forum. You inherited a nice Formichino. To give you more information about it, would be good if you provide us with the engine number and body/frame number. More photos of your scooter would be also appreciated. You can find the engine number at the top of it. The fra...

Re: Dellorto MB22A (Rumi Sport)

Thank you Rudolf for sending me the measurements of the choke (cable type) by Whatsapp. It is a mystery why my slide (number 50) and the choke (cable type) that is coming with it, are different as the rest of Dellorto slide and choke, even if the look is basically the same with the exception of the ...

Re: Dellorto MB22A (Rumi Sport)

Hi, This all is very strange. The slide 50 I had in the MB22A with the "thick" choke, is original, but as mentioned, the choke doesn't fit in the also original slide 70 I want now to use in that carburettor. Comparing in the Eurocarb website, I see the choke (for cable type), look different as mine....

Here the measurements of both "choke bars".

The problem is the wide, because the long and high are very similar.

Ugly surprise during my trip back from France

Hi, During the meeting in Normandy with the friends of the French Rumi Club, my Rumi Scoiattolo performed very nicely, I was extremely happy about it, keeping in mind that I could find surprised during the running-in period, but luckily it went well. However during my trip back to Amsterdam somethin...

Thanks for the info. That is my problem, the photos are too large, find a way to reduce them. In your computer you must have programs to reduce the photo, but in case you don't, there are free online websites where you can also do it. For example: https://www.reduceimages.com/ https://resizeimage.n...
