Re: Lasses MOTOBI "Racer"

If I were using mickey mouse terminals as Lasse does,I would certainly solder them but modern day crimps of the Japanese variety are perfectly good and serviceable. You wont find a soldered terminal on a modern motorcycle and there are millions of them out there in daily use. Kind thoughts and best r...

Re: Rear Light

Hello Archie, LEDs by their very nature can only work on DC current. The fact remains that Paul Goff did sell his light board in AC form and if he no longer does so then this tells its own story. It is interesting that there exists an MOT tester willing to turn a blind eye to the stop light problem....

Re: How much oil do you fill in your Rumi crankcase?

Hello everyone, I am surprised that no mention has yet been made of the engine tilt factor affecting the oil level plug. Most photographs of motorcycles show a marked engine tilt compared to a Formichino. Use of the oil level orifice on a Regalorita would surely show a different volume of oil than t...

Hello gege,
Please note that part No2 has a locating peg which is trapped in the body casting to stop it rotating. If you are making a part from scratch you will deed to braze this peg on as the original.

Re: single seats

Hello gege
A significant visual difference between Lambretta and Rumi saddles is the Rumi's deeper nose.
The seat conversion piece in newsletter 27 shows this.
I hope this will be of help and wish you luck.

Hello chaps, I must add that Mick Walker tells of a Buckinghamshire car dealer called Jack West who in late 1962 built a 250cc four cylinder bike .The engine was constructed from two Juniors and had a Siba electric start.Cycle parts were MV. Does anyone know what happened to this machine?Perhaps it ...
