Re: Bol D'Or - New Project

Yes Hugo, I expressed myself wrong, the question was not, what was the problem? It must had been, what was the reason for the leak? Regards Ian mentioned to me that perhaps the problem was caused by the cover touching the bearing between the crankshaft and the ignition plate. The standard paper gas...

Hi Claudio,

The problem was the little oil leak I had since long time ago (I explained it on Thu Sep 26, 2019 10:57 am, and you replied about it). I was annoyed with that little leak and now is solved.

Re: Bol D'Or - New Project

Hi,

10 days since I did the fix and not a single drop of oil at the floor or at the bottom of the engine, so I would say the problem is now solved :D

Re: Bol D'Or - New Project

Hi Graham and Claudio, Graham, I was confused before thinking that you were talking about the cover plate between the bearing of the crankshaft and the ignition plate, because in my mind that was the only one where I was going to add (and I did) a thicker gasket paper, I could not understand why tha...

Re: Bol D'Or - New Project

Hi Graham, Thanks for your reply. This engine don't drop oil from "Clutch arm", "Gear change lever", "Kickstart lever" or "Oil lever screw". Because of the place where it was falling at the floor, and because of the area where I could see some remaining oil on the scooter, I suspected that the place...

Re: Bol D'Or - New Project

Hi All, There is something that was bothering me long time ago, and now that I had time, I am going to try to solve it. The engine of the Bol D'Or drop a bit of oil, I would say around one drop a days. Under my point of view, that is a lot, so I have to be removing the oil of the floor every now and...

Re: Dellorto MB 22A for Formichino Sport

Hi, Keeping in mind that you have a Dansi magneto, I recommend you to try to find two condensers Facet 0.0253 for Moto Guzzi. Because of its size, you can fit both in the single place that the Dansi system has for the original twin condenser, that is extremely (if not impossible) to find. For the Na...

Re: Carburator and ugly sound

Hi Hugo, the first thing I would check is that the atomizer you have changed is a 2 stroke one, both the 2 and 4 stroke atomizers fit but your formi will not run correctly with the 4 stroke version, the 2 stroke ones are plain - the 4 stroke ones have some small holes drilled along the tube section...

Re: Carburator and ugly sound

Hi again, I just check the bolts and nuts that tight the pipes to the muffler box, and one of the was much more loose that the other. however I would not say it was loose enough to let air coming out (and consequently a sound as a broken exhaust), however maybe I am wrong and that was the only silly...

Carburator and ugly sound

Hi All, Yesterday I planned to have a ride in the Formichino Normale/Standard, so I decided to put all the settings in the UA15S carburetor as the factory recommend, because until that moment I had a different configuration on it. The reason why I decided to change it is because even if in the first...

Re: Dellorto MB 22A for Formichino Sport

Maybe I am wrong but here I drop one idea. Perhaps your carburettor is all correct, and the problem is that your ignition timing is not 100% adjusted as it should, firing slightly early or slightly late as it should in one or both cylinders. May that be perhaps the cause that your have an unstable i...

Re: Moto Rumi Sport - 1951 (Fixing some problems)

Well, decision taken. I've mounted the Pirelli ML14 (2.25x21) at the back, with new spokes, and new bearings at the axle. Happy with the result, doesn't look too bad. Next will be the front wheel, doing the same on it. Moto-Rumi-Sport-21-inch-rear-tire-Pirelli-ML14_01.jpg Moto-Rumi-Sport-21-inch-rea...

Re: Moto Rumi Sport - 1951 (Fixing some problems)

Hi, Today I finished the rear wheel lacing and truing adding new spokes on the 21inch rim that to my surprise ended much more straight that I was expecting. It is the first time I do a lacing and truing keeping an old rim instead replacing it to a brand new one. Soon I will start with the front whee...
