Hugo, It is not rubber strip! It is neoprene. I understand that the gearbox 'O' ring seal for a Fiat 500 is the same size diameter. Try a Fiat garage.

Re: Dell'orto 22 for Bicarburatore
Hello Alan, I have always used normal two stroke oil at 20:1, not synthetic. If there's a slight blue haze from the exhaust when riding then you know you are getting lubrication. Back in the 60's there was Bardhal and Addimix which you could use at much reduced ratio's but I found that many guys had...

Re: Dell'orto 22 for Bicarburatore
Hi Allan,
( now I'm using synthetic 2T at 4%, this should be better in control in the future.)
If you are using the original un-caged needle roller big-ends and plain bush small ends I would not recommend the above petroil mixture.

Re: Rumi in Southern California
Re this so called Bol'd'Or Rumi. In my opinion (for what it's worth) I think it is something that someone has 'cobbled' together to raise top dollar. I don't think it is an original 1950's Bol'd'Or racer but if it was it would have some documented history with it. Dose any history exist? Who was the...

Re: Rumi in Southern California
Lasse, You are quite right! It is unoriginal. It appears to have an Argentinian engine according to the engine number. I do not know of any Argentinian Rumi competing in the Bol'd'Or. But then again I know a guy with a unoriginal Rumi Corsa, it is even coloured GREEN! Completely unoriginal. :l...

What about greasing the best casting and using 'araldite' on the other side then clamping them up?
We used to use 'araldite' with great success in the aircraft industry.

Then like me, you'll end up divorced.

Thank you for thinking of me . However I think you must be getting withdrawal symptoms on this 'beast' with not having much area to run amok with your drilling machine. Could I suggest a hydraulic damped suspension on your seat instead of those springs as I can envisage you going into 'orbit' as soo...

It could possibly be wear on the bushes of your rear suspension. That would cause a radial movement sideways.

The 'air screw' only affects the slow running (zero to a quarter ) thottle opening. As Lasse says, raise the needle a knotch or even fit a slightly larger main jet to each carb.

Hi Ian, Yes I do know more or less where it is!
I thought when I first saw it, it might have belonged to a religious order as it is so 'holey'.
But it belongs to a club member who saved it from the 'tip'.

Hello Hugo, Crankcase halves are machined to match at the factory and there are small matching numbers stamped at the back end of the crankcase halves. You will be very lucky if you can find a bottom half which matches up with your top half case. In production at the factory crankcase halves were bo...

Hugo, I am at the moment trying to register ( here in the U.K.) a german 30cc motorised bicycle 1991 vintage. The Ministry of Transport test certificate (M.O.T.) cost £20. The insurance was another £80. Registration fee is £55 and the road tax is another £16 per year. I also had to fill in a Customs...

Re: My "new" old Bicarburatore
Personally I think the best way to overcome the fork leg problem, would be to get the slider bushes reamed out to take the tube.
I would NOT try and grind the chromium plating on the fork leg!!!
Reaming should be carried out in a machine shop with a suitable adjustable reamer.
