Hello I'm new here, I'm from Belgium, my whole life I've been mechanic, my interest for motorbikes dates back to 1976, mostly Harley Davidson. Now I'm working on a Rumi 125 two stroke 2 cyl from 1953 for my son in law. I hope so to bring the project to a successful conclusion. I am still looking for good information, especially attracting couples for cylinder heads and play data, I use an APS translation. My language is Dutch, many other greetings and a pleasant cooperation.

Hi Elie,

Nice to count here with another forum member from Belgium.

Been a mechanic all your life I guess you won't have much problems to restore that 1953 Rumi of your son in law. Please feel free to ask any question if you need it, we will try to answer it.

Welcome!
Hugo

Well, the engines that I am working on were heavy diesels. I had some difficulties with those special Rumi bolts, I had to make a key for that myself, and with gearbox I anticipate some difficulties but everything will be fine.

Good to know that you are now in the good track and solved the problem of the Rumi tool for the bolts.

As i am not good with computers, i will post a few drawings to Hugo to show you the simple way to make the tool for the Rumi bolts, and he can hopefully draw up for you.

the key is made of ph 4 as a base, then you sharpen the tip until it fits in the head of the bolt, it works perfectly, take bits as the base
