New member from Italy

Post by Ema92 » Fri Jul 24, 2020 1:58 pm

Hi, my name's Emanuele, I'm from Italy, near Milan.

I work for a collector of vintage cars and motorcycles, my job is to manage its entire collection.
He owns several Rumis too! Honestly I didn't know this brand until I started working for him but from that moment I was fascinated by this awesome bikes and scooters! They're so beautiful and so different from anything else!

At the moment I'm trying to help a friend of my boss to gather information on his Rumi Formichino in order to begin its restoration.
In particular, I'm looking for pictures of Rumi Formichino examples of all the different colors available back then. Can anyone help me?

Thank you so much!

Bye!

Emanuele

Does anybody know if it's possible to know the origjnal color of a Formichino starting from its chassis number?
Thank you

Emanuele

As far as I know that is not possible.

Other thing is that somebody has the original documentation of that scooter. Maybe in the documentation mention the original color, but I suspect the original documentation is gone, otherwise you would not ask.

Maybe somebody has another idea.

Type in moto rumi images on your computer and look at pictures. Also if you rub back paint hopefully the original colour is still underneath to be found. Arthur
