35 mm exhaust nuts!?

Post by martinasa » Mon Aug 12, 2019 11:31 pm

Hi!

I got both a more or less complete scoiattolo and a spare one. On the more complete one I got a AVV (Electric start) motor. The exhaust nuts I have is 38 and fit the kick one, but not the cylinder/exhausts on the electric one. Any idea why and where to get nuts that fit? Also need tips about fueltap as mine is leaking pretty bad =)

Also need the following (From the partslist):

11058 Lid for the dynastart
For the headlight A, B, C

Willing to trade for parts on my spare scoiattolo....

Best regards!

Martin

Hi Martin,

I've never seen a Rumi using two different diameters at the exhaust nuts. It is very strange. Maybe in the past a previous owner had a problem with one of the cylinders and replaced it with another that had different specifications as the original for that scooter/year.

Anyway, you can maybe contact this people and ask if they have the exhaust nut that you are looking for.

About the fuel tap, maybe the rubber inside is dry hard not sealing properly. It happen to me several times. Just replace it with a new rubber and the problem will be solved. I wish I could send you one of mine, but this is an old photo and I already sent several of them to other members of the forum that need it, so now I only have two spares that I will probably need, but taking your original one out you can probably find the right rubber and make the holes yourself (for example with the tool that make holes for belt)

About the headlight, the part A and B can be purchase at the next links:

About the headlight glass, you have to find the CEV 105 as the one at the photo below. Once in a while they appear on Ebay and different websites. Be careful don't buy the one with brand "Aprilia" or the one that has written on it "Innocenti".

About the Lid for the dynastart cover, here an image of the diagram just to show other what you are talking about. That is a pretty rare part, because already the Scoiattolo with dynastart is rare. Good luck with this.

Maybe some members of the forum can help you selling you the parts you need instead buying them in the websites I provide.

Hugo

Regarding the fuel tap, instead fixing it you can also buy a replacement like this M12 x 1,5mm. This is not original, but looks like a nice replica.

I would try to fix the original CEV anyway.

I hope this help.

For the CEV 105 glass try in these two shops. The pictures do not show it completely to be 100% sure that is the correct one, but seem to be the one.

  Reading again your topic I realised that I misunderstood completely what you said about the exhaust nuts. Now I see that you were talking about the two different Scoiattolo you have, instead what I misunderstood that was the cylinders in one single scooter with two different size for the nut.
